2. When are you open?
Note: 24/7 access is available
Monday to Friday 08.30am - 18:00pm
Saturday 09:00am - 14:00pm
Closed Lunch 1.00pm to 2.00pm
Closed Saturday and Monday on Bank Holiday weekends.

3. Are there any limitations on access?
No, once you become a Limerick Self Storage customer you will be offered free access during opening hours six days a week.

4. What type of identification do I need?
You will need a valid photo identification such as a Driving license or Passport and you will also need a proof of address such as a utility bill?

5. Do I have to sign a lease?
No you don't, you sign a straightforward storage license agreement prior to moving into your unit. The contract takes approximately 10 minutes to complete.

6. Do I have to book a unit?
No, you can fill in your storage agreement today and move in immediately. However to be guaranteed a unit of a specific size on arrival it is advisable to book your unit in advance.

7. How do I get my goods to you?
You can bring your goods in your own vehicle if you have enough space. We have ample car parking and large loading/unloading areas at our store. Alternatively, we can recommend local van hire/removal companies to help with your transportation.

8. Do you do removals/van hire?
No, we are purely a self storage centre. However we will recommend approved local removal/van hire companies some of which offer discounted rates to Limerick Self Storage customers. We can also recommend removal services within Ireland, Ireland - UK and Ireland - Europe.

9. Do I pay weekly or monthly?
We invoice customers every 1 month, payable in advance. However, we only ask for seven days notice when you vacate your unit and we refund to you any unused storage charge (Full week). All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT. For a full list of prices please click here.

10. Do you offer any discounts?
For long-term customers we offer the following pre-payment discounts: 5% discount for 3 months payable in advance 7.5% discount for 6 months payable in advance 10% discount for 1 year payable in advance For a full list of prices click here.

11. Are there any hidden extras?
There are no hidden charges. All you need is a lock for the cubicle which we can supply you with or you can bring a long.

12. How can I pay for my storage?
We offer a number of payment options including cash, credit card, cheque and Laser.

13. Can I transfer to another unit if I find I have too much or too little space?
You are welcome to move to another size unit at any time depending on your storage requirements and availability.

14. Are the storage units heated
Our units are heated. We are the only facility in Ireland which offers such a service.

15. What sort of security do you have?

16. What is the minimum time I can store with you?
Our minimum payment period is 1 month for the first month but you can remove your goods anytime before the month is up. Once you have paid your initial month, you can pay weekly after that.

17. What can I store?
You can store almost anything in our units. The only exceptions are:

  • Living items such as animals & plants.
  • Hazardous materials such as flammable liquids and explosives Items that could decompose such as exposed foodstuffs.
  • Unauthorised or illegal goods such as firearms etc.
  • High value items such as Jewellery.

18. Will you accept deliveries?
We accept deliveries and we also have loading bays, trolleys and forklifts at your disposal and we will also help with collections.

19. Once I have a unit how long can I stay?
You are welcome to stay for weeks, months or years or for as long as you require.

20. Do I have to give notice when I leave?
Business Customers will need to give 1 months notice of move out while residential customers will need to give 1 weeks move out notice."

21. Do we hold a key to your unit?
No. For complete privacy we think it is important that you are the only key holder. However, we can hold keys if it is more convenient for you.

22. How do I know what size unit I need?
All our employees are experienced and will give you advice. However, we recommend you visit the facility and see the different sizes available for yourself. Click here to go through to our guide, which will indicate what fits into what.

23. What happens if I reserve the wrong size and when I move in it's too big or too small?
Again, just talk to the staff and they will show you the alternatives.

24. How will I know when my storage fees are due?
An invoice will be generated every month and sent to the address given on the license agreement in relation to business customers. Residential customers will be called 5 days before due date. If you wish we can notify you by fax, email, writing or phone.

25. Where can I purchase packing materials?

26. Is there someone at the store I can talk to should I have a problem?
There will always be a trained member of staff available 6 days a week during reception opening times.
